Audio Visual Astrology

Terms of use

Last updated 30 July 2026.

By using Audio Visual Astrology ("the app") you agree to what follows.

What the app is

The app shows where the Sun, Moon, planets and other bodies actually were, are or will be, turns the geometry between them into sound, and draws the same positions as a chart wheel. It is made for interest, education and enjoyment.

It is not advice. Nothing it shows should be used to make medical, psychological, legal, financial or safety decisions. The positions are computed to a stated accuracy; the meaning anyone attaches to them is theirs, not mine.

Accuracy

Positions come from established ephemeris models (VSOP87 / ELP-2000 via the Astronomy Engine library) and published star catalogues. They are within a few arcminutes for the main bodies across roughly ±200 years from 2000, less so for minor bodies and for dates further out. I warrant no figure as exact, and the app should not be used where an error would matter.

Your data

Anything you enter stays on your device, as set out on the Privacy page. You keep whatever rights you have in it. I claim none.

What you may do

Use it personally or professionally, read charts for other people with it, and show it in a class, a talk or an installation. Screenshots and recordings may be published, including commercially. A credit and a link are appreciated, though not required.

What you may not do

The app, its source and its design are proprietary and remain the property of Scalar Resonance. The published star catalogues it uses are not mine and are not covered by this section. They come from the HYG database v4.1 by David Nash (AstroNexus), trimmed and reformatted for the app, and you may use them under its licence, CC BY-SA 4.0. The Moon's surface map and relief come from NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio (CGI Moon Kit). The towns and time zones of the Birthplace search come from GeoNames, modified, under CC BY 4.0. The letters and symbols drawn on share cards and posters come from the fonts Fraunces, IBM Plex Mono and Noto Sans Symbols, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, and DejaVu Sans, under the Bitstream Vera licence. You may not:

Builds carry identifying markers, which is how a copy is traced back to its origin.

Pro subscriptions

Current prices, what each tier includes, the trial period and the refund window are stated on the Pro page and are part of these terms at the moment you purchase.

A lifetime purchase ("Founder") grants Pro access for as long as the service exists. It cannot outlive the service, and it does not oblige me to keep the service running forever.

Availability

The app is provided as it is, with no guarantee of uptime, and features may be added, changed or withdrawn. I will not remove something you paid for without notice and, where it is material, a refund.

To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time: close the tab, uninstall the app, cancel the subscription. I may withdraw access from anyone who breaks the "what you may not do" section above.

Changes

Substantive changes move the date at the top and are announced in the site updates before they take effect for existing subscribers.
